NCAMP is not just for farmers – we are available to anyone with a dispute with any agency of the USDA, which includes some homeowners. We handle loan or credit problems, foreclosures, crop insurance and more.
The NCAMP website is designed to inform the community about our mediation efforts and serve as a resource for farmers and all USDA clients across the state. We welcome your feedback!
Headquartered at WCU, NCAMP is the USDA-certified state mediation provider for North Carolina. We work with USDA customers and borrowers to settle disputes through mediation.
In August 2006, at the request of Governor Easley, the United States Department of Agriculture certified the North Carolina Agriculture Mediation Program (NCAMP) as the mediation service provider in the State of North Carolina to assist in the resolution of disputes between participating USDA agencies and their program participants. NCAMP is housed at Western Carolina University ’s College of Business. NCAMP received funding from the USDA in the approximate amount of $95,000 for the program’s first year of operation. In August 2007, NCAMP was recertified by Governor Easley.
